There is still magic in a kid getting a @topps trading card of her favorite player! Avery loves @hannah.hidalgo3 SO MUCH! (And this kid doesn’t get emotional!) 2023 Topps Chrome McDonald’s All American Hannah Hidalgo Paper Autograph Card! This video made me day, @albails & @slowbail ✨🏀✨

I don’t post a lot about my writing students’ incredible creations - but I should. This poem and author’s note really stood out b/c it’s about writing. Plus, this writer’s understanding and ability to incorporate symmetry into her structure is super impressive. (And she learned about symmetry from studying a movie in class - then masterfully applies it to her writing!) Moments like these highlight the uniqueness of teaching and the intangible benefits that a teacher receives from the craft. ✨💛✨

Today I read this picture book to my 6th graders. It’s a masterpiece! @jessicawhippl17 & @painternik9 created a perfect piece of art - the text and art…wow! It’s a perfect book for any season - but this week of thanks & giving…so perfect! ✨🙏🏻✨ I’ll be gifting it to a few people this December! 🎁 I bought three copies!

1995! 29 years ago I taught Neil! He stopped by to visit today. Now I teach his niece and nephew (his sister’s kids!). Full circle! What a small 🌍! Totally remember Neil and his fourth grade class - one of the best and most fun I taught! And Neil was a star! His niece & nephew are too! Incredible to see former students now in their 30s & 40s!! ✨🍎✨ Teaching - nothing quite like it!

Tyrese auto’ed & inscribed this card during his rookie season. One of the best cards I own. A unique 1/1 b/c of the error and Tyrese’s classic inscription. @sixers
